COMPANY HISTORY

Impressive CVs was founded in 2003 and has built up a reputation for providing a high quality service at very competitive rates. As such, we enjoy much referral and repeat business, and boast an impressive testimonial page. As a business, we possess a wealth of experience in the recruitment sector. Our consultants all have backgrounds in Executive Search, Human Resources, Recruitment, Career Services or similar.

Owner's Background

The founder, Tracey Whitmore, brings with her a wealth of experience gained as an Executive Search Consultant working for a firm of leading headhunters. Following her experience of working on assignments for large Corporate Clients on an exclusive basis, coupled with the running of a successful CV writing business, she has an unparalleled insight into the market place and a keen eye for what makes an interview-winning CV.

Utilising her head-hunting experience and five plus years' experience of writing CVs, she recently wrote and completed a book on 'How to Write an Impressive CV and Cover Letter'. Her book was published in June 2009 by How To Books and is available in all leading book stores and on Amazon. As part of the process, Tracey interviewed 12 top HR professionals from the likes of KPMG, Tesco, Vodafone, the BBC, Korn Ferry and Odgers, to gain their views on what makes an interview-winning CV.

Impressive CVs was started with you, the customer in mind. Tracey's business philosophy is that service is everything and quality is key. Throughout her career, she has received regular and consistent feedback from clients, candidates and customers as someone who is professional in her approach, has their best interests at heart and does what she says she will do. Prior to being a headhunter and entrepreneur, Tracey worked in the Private and Corporate Banking Sectors for seven years. She gained significant experience working for major blue-chip companies both in South Africa and the United Kingdom. She was consistently commended 'as someone who went the extra mile'.

Our Consultants

As our consultants are from Executive Search, Human Resources, Recruitment, and Career Services backgrounds, they have a thorough understanding of what makes a good CV. During the in-depth consultation, which forms part of our service, they will spend time gaining an in-depth understanding of your core skills, experience, background and achievements, in order to produce a CV that will best represent you and make you stand out from the rest.

Our consultants are experienced in working across a variety of sectors and industries and are capable of communicating effectively with people at all levels. As there are so many different industries/ sectors, it would be impossible to have CV writers that are specialised in each area but in the case of IT, Telecoms and Medical, we do have consultants who specialise in these CV types.

We will provide you with a draft copy of your CV in just 5-working days. Thereafter, you have 14-days in which to make as many changes as necessary. We endeavour to provide you with a revised draft within 24-hours of receiving your changes.
